[ Well, this was unexpected. Kitty was already past the whole waking up and discovering her wings part. She'd gathered her clothes and had gone well not to encounter anyone yet. This wasn't a place where she could tell whether or not she was in danger or not and that meant that she had to be careful. Extremely careful not to get caught until she could figure out where she was and how to get back to the others.
Of course it couldn't be too long until she screwed that up. It was easy for her to concentrate on her phasing, but it could get difficult when she wasn't exactly paying attention. And it was certainly hard to pay attention when you arrive in a new area without any of your teammates. Completely alone and defenseless. What a perfect target. Having a headache certainly didn't help.
Which probably explained why instead of phasing through the wall to grocery store, Kitty ended up slamming right into it. Landing onto her back, Kitty gazed up at the wall with a confused, dazed expression. ]
That wasn't supposed to happen. [ Not the most usual response for slamming into a wall. Help a girl out. ]

[ After recovering from the whole incident from before and discovering that this place was not trying to kill her. Well... not for being a mutant anyways. It was time to see if she could find someone that she knows. And maybe get some more info while she was here. ]
Icemen? Colossus? If you're out there, please respond. this goes for all of you other x-men. i need some help.
or to anyone. is there a place where i can rest? maybe get some sleep.
Thanks in advance.

Hey, are you alright? [He leans over to help her. His image inducer is on, and he has some gloves on as well to keep her from feeling his fuzz.]
no subject
No. I just crashed into a wall. [ Well, at least she was honest. ]
no subject
Don't you just hate it when that happens? [He asks snarkily. Then he holds up two fingers in a peace sign.] How many fingers am I holding up?
no subject
Yeah, it sucks. [ She'll actually glance at the fingers now. She didn't feel any better after hitting the wall but it wasn't a hard question. ] And two.

The door is on the other wall. [ Super helpful as she scoots across the wall with her back pressed to it. ]
no subject
What are you doing?
no subject
This is actually pretty bad all things considered, but seeing as her companions are a street rat, thief, a prince, and a magic user... scaling walls is probably normal activity. ]
I lost my wings, but these new wings can't fly. Have to practice.
no subject
You had wings before? Are you a mutant or something? [ That would explain it. A containment center for mutants. Well, that really actually didn't explain anything. ]

A! If you don't mind another.
...That rather looked like it hurt.
[Her voice was accented, a mix of Irish and British, and was tinged with worry and amusement at the same time. But she was at least nice enough to offer a hand to the other to help her up.]
not at all!
Definitely. [ rubbing her head. ] Guess it could've been worse though.
no subject
So...you did see the wall, right? You ran right into it.
no subject
Uh, yeah. I guess I just dazed out of it though. [ That was probably a better explanation than I thought I was going to walk through it. ]

[Written, locked to Kitty]
[She's uncertain of Colossus's real name, so his code will have to suffice, for now. She is interested in his being listed in a call for X-men, though.]
What's up?
[Written, locked to Jean]
Do you know if the others are safe? Or where the Professor may be? Have you seen any of the others at that?
[Written, locked]
In my experience, Sentinels aren't quite as
[She pauses in her writing here, trying to think of a word that accurately describes the bizarre situation they're all in. She doesn't want to scare this person, whoever she is.]
"generous" as the Malnosso. Which I write only in the extent that we have freedom of movement here, whereas the Sentinels are more on the 'stomp first, freedom of movement never' side of things.
This is Jean Grey, by the way. Do you have a place to stay, yet?
[Written, locked]
Jean Grey? No that's impossible is this some sort of sick joke because it is NOT funny.

SO HOW ABOUT THIS
Still. She plasters a smile on her face. X-Men are X-Men, after all.]
So - you're Kitty, huh?
THIS WORKS
Yeah. You're... This Jean's Rogue? [ She didn't have any other way to say it. ]
\o/
...Okay. This is weird. [She gives this other Kitty a searching look, noting in particular the age of this girl- only a few years younger than she was, so about the proper age difference between her and Kitty - and the signs of strain.] Ice cream?
no subject
Yeah, really weird. [ a small smile. ] If you're offering, I wouldn't mind.
